ADP Committee Member Recognized by FCC as Accessibility Innovator

Matt Kaplowitz, CEO of Bridge Multimedia, was recently recognized by the FCC as an accessibility innovator when he was presented with their 2026 Chairman’s Award for Advancement in Accessibility. His work has highlighted the important role NextGen TV can play in advancing accessibility and inclusion!

The press release from Bridge Multimedia, linked below, makes a compelling case for bringing NextGen TV into the conversation, emphasizing how ATSC 3.0 can expand access through more flexible captioning, audio description, multilingual options, and enhanced emergency alerts, while preserving the value of free, over-the-air broadcasting. Matt is an active member of ACB's Audio Description Project Media working group.

Congratulations to Matt, and fellow 2026 honorees Stephen Ewell of the CTA Foundation, and Zainab Alkebsi, with Deaf Equality for helping elevate the conversation around how emerging broadcast technology can create more accessible, personalized, and inclusive experiences for everyone.
