Actiview is an app for iOS devices which provides audio description tracks for a growing number of movies.  It can be used in a movie theater (so you don't have to worry about equipment failure) or at home.  When used at home, it allows a person to listen to the description track (using headphones connected to their phone) for a movie without others in the room having to listen to it also, regardless of whether the source is a DVD, your TV, or a streaming video service like Netflix or Hulu.  Some titles get dropped after leaving the theater due to license restrictions.  Read this article about Actiview.  View this described video about Actiview on Facebook.

Dec 13, 2019:  According to Actiview founder Alex Koren, as posted on LinkedIn, "Actiview has been acquired by Charter Communications (owners of Spectrum & Time Warner) who will be using the technology we developed to provide greater accessibility to over 25 million households."  We have no further information about the existing App, so until we hear these titles are no longer available, we will list them here, although we have removed the Actiview link to this page from our Navigation area and no longer include them in the Master AD list.
